All of this began when Todd was a young man working for a Wholesaler & everyone in the business was selling Imports. He decided to try something different so he opened his own Store on Mothers Day, 31 years ago in a very small space in an already established Fish Store. From there he moved to a slightly larger space which he out grew within 6 months. It was then that he moved into his 3500sq ft space in the Mainline Shopping Center where he stayed for 23 years. In July 2006, after years of looking for just the right place we moved into our newly improved, fully loaded 10,000sq. ft. Nest.

Todd Marcus Birds Exotic has a wonderful reputation. Not as being one of those “Mega Bird Stores”, but as being the BEST in the Business, with the healthiest Birds, the Cleanest Environment, and Quality Cages/Toys and Commodities. Our goal is to remain humble, sell healthy birds, make our customers feel like part of the “family” and educate the public on the care of these marvelous creatures. We want each trip to our store to be fun and educational. The staff here at Birds Exotic is by far the best in the business, their knowledge and friendliness keep you coming back for more.

Birds Exotic has been family owned and operated for 32years by Mr. Marcus. Todd & Kathy Marcus have 4 Children: Zachary, Britney, Chandler and Dyllon all of which share their passion for animals. The Marcus family also shares their home with 2 Dogs, 2 Cat and 11 Birds.

We have a 30 day layaway plan, which also includes a weaning program for baby birds for those of you who don’t wish to hand feed. We never just send a baby home with an inexperienced hand feeder; we have you come back for training on the care needed for these precious baby birds. 

On all Conures to Macaws we offer a 6 Month, 100% Health Guarantee. We also sell Finches, Canaries, Lovebirds, Cockatiels and Parrotlets. Also, don’t be surprised when visiting our store to see some Rare Birds, such as: Toucans, Toucanets, Black Palm Cockatoos, Hyacinth Macaws and Red Tail Cockatoos.
